Case studies draw from a range of primary and secondary research on a specific subject. A case study is a great hybrid methodology to use in your PIP because you can bring your primary research methodologies (like focus groups, interviews and observations) together and begin to synthesise them with secondary research (books, articles etc) to get a clear idea of your subject (what it is you are researching)

Have a look at how the authors of this article do this - its very synthesised and very interesting! Note the integration of theory; in this case, Marxist theory.
