I design and manage construction of organic, gentle garden projects in an effort to conserve precious soil, waterways and reduce fossil fuel emissions. I live and work on Aboriginal land here in Wollongong, the land of the Dharawal people, a land that was never ceded. I aim to leave a light footprint, show respect and to learn from the first gardeners of this land.

My designs start with the natural and cultural heritage, the uniqueness and attributes of any site. I use lo-fi techniques including hand-drawing and and collage as well as CAD drawings in 2D and 2D renders. I welcome participation of clients in all stages of the design and creation. I collaborate with architects, educators, artists and horticulturalists to realise beautiful, biodiverse gardens for my clients.

I work for a large landscape architecture firm, make art, teach, research and am a part of Sydney-based experimental design studio 'Soak'.

Garden design allows me to be around nature and friends, help build connected, diverse communities and create beautiful, enriching environments. Through Glitter and Leaves, I regenerate gardens with beautiful local native plants and climate-appropriate exotics. My influences and interests include painting and sculpture, gardening literature and history, and regenerative land management.

I come from a gardening family and have gardened in Kangaroo Valley, Sydney's Inner West, the Southern Highlands and across the Illawarra . I have run arts and gardening projects with groups including teenagers, preschoolers, refugees, and culturally and linguistically diverse people.

Kezia
Gardener

Kezia is a gardener and photographer with a vast portfolio of portraiture, including several stunning album covers. Kez brings with her into the garden a sense of humour, fascination with people and plants, a moody and sometimes Gothic aesthetic and a lot of elbow grease. You'll see her gardening bare-handed, and using her signature praying mantis weed-picking moves and affectionately referring to specimens as "spindooleys".
